Alpine Chough–highest nesting bird

The black glossy feathers, the yellow beak and the red legs make it a bird with a striking appearance. These birds are known to have nests higher than any other bird in the world. They pair for life and their eggs are adapted to survive in low oxygen availability. They are seen in high altitude areas, these pictures are of birds seen in the Indian Himalayas.
