Bathua raita…

IMG_4272The green bathua plant is high in nutritive value, it is called Chenopodium album or white goosefoot or lamb’s quarters in English. It can be combined with yoghurt to form a tasty and healthy dish which is easy to make. Take the shoots of the plant and pluck the leaves, boil in water for two minutes. Cut the leaves and drain. Take yoghurt and churn it. Add salt, red chilli powder and black pepper. Take a little ghee, add cumin seeds, remove from heat when they sputter and add to the mixture of bathua and yoghurt. Mix well, enjoy !!!!
