Tulsi …..Holy basil

In most homes in India, the Tulsi plant or holy basil is grown. It is used for religious purposes, for its flavour, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and digestive benefits. Some say it has the property to wean a person off smoking. No side-effects or allergy have been reported after ingestion. The fragrance is pleasant, it is evergreen and an insect repellant…..it grows easily and is easy to maintain.
